Since the creation of Tout Simplement, his brand, in 1996, designer Philippe Ferreux creates objects made out of noble and eco-friendly resources from the Jura forests. Furthermore, as the majority of his suppliers are also from the Franche-Comté region, he contributes to the local job market and reduces shipping to the minimum. Tout simplement !
5 questions to the designer
Who are you?
Philippe Ferreux, founder and designer of Tout Simplement.
Give us 3 words that describe your universe.
Ingenious, functional, quality-oriented.
Where do you get your inspiration?
Inspiration and creativity are everywhere, at every moment, most of the time not when you expect them. You have to stay aware, to keep an eye and an ear out for everything.
Where do you make your products?
Not far from us, in the heart of the Jura Mountains, within a radius of 50 km between France and Switzerland.
“Made in France”: why that choice?
Out of choice and ethics: a wish to discover local skills before we even try to find them elsewhere. And to achieve economic balance: our production volume and structure size are not a great fit for mass fabrication, so local production is also our best option.
