5 questions to the designer

Who are you?
I am an early "slasher" and a mom of 3 super young adults and a stepmom of a super cool last. I have a darling who works hard and supports me in everything I do.

A Life Before Charity Candles?
When I was 24, I created a press relations agency specialized in lifestyle (decoration, gastronomy, tourism) but also in jewelry and the textile industry with many Japanese projects. I wanted to turn this page.

What made you want to get started?
Reading an article on pollution and the toxicity of perfuming our interiors. I remember the headline "What's gonna kill you at home"… 5 things that are directly harmful to our health, those of our children and that of the aquatic world, in particular: incense, scented candles, hot essential oil diffusers, bamboo sticks soaked in carafes, perfume diffusers electric atmosphere. It completely shocked me. This is why charity candles are absolutely odorless and colorless, and made with vegan wax, to be perfectly safe to use indoors.

Where do you find inspiration?
I spend a lot of time in solidarity sales where I find fragments of the past. It attracts and charms me enormously.

Where do you make your creations?
At my workshop in Boulogne-Billancourt and in Sarthe where one of my large storage facilities is located.

Why did you choose Made in France?
I am for short circuits and all ideas that create value while weighing as little as possible on the planet.
